Description
What it is
Grym Drops Lion’s Mane is a lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus) dual extract: hot water and alcohol. The hericenones that many people are reaching for are alcohol-soluble, so water alone leaves them behind. That is why this is a dual extract and Grym Drops Reishi is not.

What is in it
- Lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus) fruiting body dual extract
- Alcohol
- Water
That is it.
How to use
Add to water, juice, coffee or tea. Hold under the tongue for faster absorption if preferred. Start with a small amount and adjust to suit you.
Why alcohol?
Most mushroom compounds split into two groups: water-soluble beta-glucans, and alcohol-soluble compounds like lion’s mane’s hericenones. A water-only extract cannot pull the second group out, so an honest lion’s mane extract has to use alcohol somewhere in the process. That means the bottle carries alcohol, unlike Grym Drops Reishi, which does not need to.
Why The Fungi Folks?
Ben Gibson and his team in Chepstow, Wales grow, harvest, extract and bottle every batch. Full traceability from spore to bottle. More about our grower.
We iodine tested extracts from the three leading UK mushroom brands. Every one of them showed starch, a sign of hidden fillers. Ours did not.

Questions
Is this suitable for vegans?
Yes, all ingredients are plant derived.
Can I take it with medication?
We are not medically qualified to advise on interactions. If you are on medication, check with your GP first.
Is this the same as a tincture?
Similar process. A traditional tincture is alcohol-only; this is a dual extract, hot water and alcohol combined, so it captures both the water-soluble and alcohol-soluble compounds.
