Functional mushroom coffee for people who actually drink coffee
Most UK functional mushroom coffee is an instant powder in a sachet, dosed low enough to make a wellness claim look credible while keeping costs down. It is built for people who do not really drink coffee. We took the opposite approach. Grym is real specialty-grade ground coffee for an aeropress, cafetiere or pour-over, pre-blended with organic mushroom extracts so the routine you already have does the work.
Properly dosed means a minimum of 750mg of mushroom extract per serving, not the trace amounts common across the category. If you care about how your coffee is grown, roasted and brewed, you should expect the same honesty from the mushrooms blended into it. That is the standard Ffyngau is built on.
The range

Grym Coffee
Our flagship. Specialty-grade ground coffee pre-blended with organic lion’s mane and reishi extracts. Brew it the way you already brew coffee. Minimum 750mg extract per serving.
Grym Cacao
The same properly dosed approach, built around real cacao instead of coffee. A rich, caffeine-light option for the evening or for anyone who prefers chocolate to coffee.
Lion’s Mane
A dual-extracted lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus) for those who want the single species on its own. Traditionally used for focus and studied for its role in cognitive health.
Reishi
A dual-extracted reishi (Ganoderma lucidum), long valued in traditional practice and researched for its role in rest, recovery and the body’s stress response.
Maitake
A dual-extracted maitake (Grifola frondosa), a culinary and functional mushroom traditionally used in East Asia and studied for its polysaccharide content.

Ffyngau is rooted in Wrexham, North Wales. The provenance is real and it is not something a brand can buy in after the fact. We grow here, we blend here, and the name itself is Welsh: Ffyngau means fungi, and Grym means power. This is not a London label borrowing a rustic story. It is a Welsh product made where it says it is made.
