Why capsules, not loose powder
We made a reishi extract powder the honest way: hot water and ultrasound extraction, keeping the whole mushroom marc rather than throwing it away, because that is where a significant portion of the beta-glucans and chitin matrices live. That whole-extract approach is exactly right, but it comes with a real drawback: it does not dissolve. Reishi extract powder retains insoluble mushroom fibre, and stirred into a drink it settles and leaves fibre behind, which disappoints people expecting it to behave like an instant powder.
Rather than sell a powder that disappoints in a drink, we are putting the same whole extract into a capsule, fibre and all. That is the honest way to take it: you get the full extract, including the insoluble fraction most manufacturers throw away, without needing to stir a drink and drink the settled fibre too.

What is in it
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) fruiting body extract. That is the whole list.
What makes it different
Most mushroom extract powders on the market are spray dried, an industrial process that runs at 200 to 300 degrees. At those temperatures, many of the bioactive compounds in mushrooms are damaged before the powder even reaches you.
Most also contain starch based fillers like maltodextrin, which are not declared on the label. We tested three leading UK brands with iodine solution. All three showed starch. Ours did not.
We extract using hot water and an ultrasonic machine at lower, controlled temperatures. Then we keep the whole mushroom marc, the post extraction biomass that most manufacturers throw away, because it is where a significant portion of the beta glucans and chitin matrices live. Capsules are the honest way to deliver that whole extract without asking you to stir and drink insoluble fibre.
Extract ratio
1:1. That means 1kg of dried reishi fruiting body produces 1kg of extract. No concentration claims, no inflated ratios. Honest weight.
Grams per day and what a meaningful dose looks like
Human reishi trials use substantial daily amounts. The Klupp 2016 trial used 3 grams of reishi extract per day. It is not an outlier: the Mori 2009 lion’s mane trial used the same 3 grams per day. A capsule of a vague “mushroom complex” is not in the same conversation. A meaningful dose means a concentrated fruiting body extract, not a token sprinkle, which is exactly what this is.
